Ruki - BG and clothes

WAHOOO I finished Ruki~!! *w* ONE DOWN. Here's work-in-progress shots finishing the background + clothes..


I left off with a floating head in my last entry. Now I shall complete the background! :D These are my steps for the BG:
1) Black layer
2) Blue layer (with those funny shapes)
3) Red and purple dots
4) White highlights on the dots

4 layers in total~!






Then comes the neck and the clothes~

To be honest my background isn't very accurate and the dots (I think they're lights) were confusing me. This is the best I came up with ^^


Start of sexy necklace~8D I love his necklace! *steals*






As you can see, the "transform" tool is really handy for accessories because they always turn out smaller or bigger than I had in mind :P


The netting thing for the clothes was a little strenuous as I counted every line! x_X But in the end I think my Ruki pic is slightly bigger (wider neck) than the reference so I had to put in more lines. Eheh.

(Oh ya I shaded on the ref pic to indicate which lines I've drawn lol)

The rest of the clothing were mainly sparse whiteness so my proportions were all wrong but oh well, I decided that I at least draw them in. Don't have to be super accurate on this one!






Oh ahaha, I ended up drawing a whole line of 'beads' crooked/bent so horrifyingly I had to erase the whole thing lol.
