Mao - SID (everything else lol)

So I didn't manage to finish this before Toycon ahahaa.... Nonetheless! There's still time before A.C.M.E next saturday!

I realise his lips are very red lol. And it looks like a fruit from this angle :D



NECK. Those swirly circles at the side are where the balls are. Which I'll do later after dinner.

YAY DINNER TIME!

....back from dinner. Time to draw balls.


They seem pretty easy, majority being black and white coloured with hints of grey and some other shit colour. It's the positioning of them that seem harder than it looks! I think I accidentally added a few extras because I got confused :X


Decided to paint in the background so i don't strain my eyes with white balls on white BG @_@


Did the clothes behind too ^^ at this stage I'm quite happy with the result! though it hasn't been fully accurate.. I did enjoy painting it slowly. And slow as I am, it's about 1.30am now LOL


After finishing, it is in my tradition to...stare at it and if something looks off, wonder what's wrong. If I can't figure out, I'll go to sleep :D BUT NO! I gotta finish this by tomorrow to send it for print!!
anyway I decided there was a problem with the eyes and skin so I darkened both. (NOT with the "Burn" tool plz! omg hahaha) I simply used colours that are darker than the surrounding colours.

DONE!!! This took me 3 days in all. View the finished piece on my deviantART ^^


P.S. After sending it for print today, the pic got darker and it looked like he had grown a beard. DAMN.
